About Yates Construction

In 1976, Bob co-founded Yates Construction Company, Inc. alongside his brother Douglas B. Yates, beginning what would become a regional leader in heavy highway, utility, site preparation, and grading work.
With a background in underground utilities, steam piping, boiler installation, and ductwork, Bob brought decades of hands-on experience into the founding of Yates Construction.

Over nearly five decades, Bob led the business with a focus on quality, reliability, and building relationships—increasing its scope from underground utility work to major highway and site development projects across NC, SC, and VA.

Just horrible ! They are doing heavy construction near devaney dentistry in oakridge! I came in to see many construction workers, banging , digging etc .. as they should, but I came out to my rental car windshield being busted after work. I pulled in with a windshield and left the afternoon after 4pm with a busted windshield. After reporting when I finally knew who to report to , I was told that there digging site was to far from where they where! Lies! Jean personally told me it was too far for a rock to reach my car. Lies ! A lawnmower could have put a rock through my windshield. They didn’t take ownership at all, just dismissed it couldn’t have happened due to distance ! I came into work with a windshield and left with a busted one . I heard digging and banging all day. When I left from work , there was no one to tell and they closed for a whole weekend ! You tell me how my vehicle windshield got broke after arriving to work and there were 4 or 5 construction workers near our cars. They are digging up the ground to put in a traffic circle! They want own up to what they did, after pics and witnesses, I wasn’t considered ! Horrible company ! I won’t quit re-explaining my situation either! This company comes to you! Move your car far away if the come to your work place ! Plus I have others who pulled in with me , no broke windshield, came out with a shattered vehicle ! You put 1 plus 1 together! What do you get ? Now I have to pay for this windshield! I will take more pics to show how close they got ! Despite there lies ! Accidents happen , but own up to it !

I want to say thank you to Yates Construction Co. and especially Travis. I dropped my trailer on the soft shoulder exit 122 off Rt. 220. I was walking looking for something to fill hole that my landing gear was forming. I saw Yates Construction Co and maybe I can ask them for something to fill the hole. I asked a guy and he said , go to the trailer and ask Travis. He said come in and get some of this AC. If was 95*
I asked him if I could borrow a wood plank to fill the hole that was forming. He said like the one I have on that pick up out there? I told him yes, then he said sure you can get one then he told me I can have two. Then he took me in the pick up to my trailer on the side of the road. He stayed with me helped me raise the truck up out the hole with the two planks. I was so relieved to get that truck out of that soft gravel. I offered to pay him and he would not accept my money he said that’s the way we do it in the south. I really wanna thank him for his kindness.
